About Dean
Dean is based at Kingsway in Royston and coaching both from the range and indoor Trackman simulators.
Dean delivers a modern, personalised coaching experience that blends world-leading technology with a clear, structured approach to improvement. His goal is simple: to help golfers of all abilities achieve meaningful, sustainable progress.
Dean’s Philosophy
Dean’s coaching philosophy is player-centred—the golfer always comes first. Rather than forcing players into a model or cloning them into something unrealistic, Dean works with what each player can actually do, based on their physical capabilities, skill level, and personal goals. His holistic approach focuses on understanding movement, identifying what the player needs, and turning limitations into strengths.
Every session is designed to deliver meaningful progress, with one-hour minimum lessons that prioritise understanding, development, and application. Using his strong grounding in biomechanics, Dean builds swing patterns that are efficient, achievable, and sustainable for each individual.
Technology plays a key role in Dean’s coaching. As a certified user of TrackMan, Science & Motion (SAM PuttLab), and Sportsbox 3D Golf, he provides accurate, data-driven feedback across all phases of the swing and putting stroke. These tools help players see their patterns clearly, understand the “why” behind their movements, and measure improvement over time.
With a player-first philosophy, advanced technology, and a commitment to long-term improvement, Dean offers a complete performance environment for golfers dedicated to reaching their potential.

Mark Sturgess is a highly experienced PGA Professional with over 30 years in the golf industry, offering expert coaching to golfers of all abilities. With a deep understanding of the game, Mark works across every area of performance, helping players build strong fundamentals, refine technique, and improve consistency.
Based at Kingsway Golf Centre in Royston, Mark provides individual coaching supported by TrackMan 4 technology, giving clients industry-leading feedback and clear insights to accelerate improvement. He also runs weekly group coaching sessions, creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for golfers looking to develop their skills alongside others.
With decades of experience and a passion for coaching, Mark is committed to helping every golfer get the very best out of their game.

Gregg Smith is a highly experienced PGA Professional with over 15 years in the game and a genuine passion for coaching. He works with golfers of all ages and abilities, helping each player develop their skills, confidence, and enjoyment of the game while working towards their individual goals.
Based at Kingsway Golf Centre in Royston, Gregg delivers coaching using state-of-the-art TrackMan technology, both on the driving range and in the TrackMan simulators. His sessions combine clear technical guidance with modern data-driven insight, ensuring lessons are engaging, effective, and tailored to each golfer.
Gregg also coaches the Kingsway Ladies Academy, where he is known for creating a supportive, encouraging environment that helps players improve while building confidence and a strong love for the game.
