The Transformation

Welcome to the AF Golf Store Biggleswade renovation! The team has been hard at work, and there’s so much to share about the exciting changes happening. The exterior of the building is getting a complete refresh, including new paint on the doors. As we step inside, you'll notice the significant progress we've made in transforming the space.

A New Welcoming Area

As we walk in, the first thing you’ll notice is the new welcome station being installed in the corner. This area will serve as our coffee and soft drink station, providing a spot for customers to get refreshed as they head around the store or practice on our Trackman range. Opposite this area comes the main desk where you'll be greeted by our expert golf team. We’re setting up a dedicated space for gloves, tees, and other essential golf accessories which are easily accessible around the till area. This layout is designed to enhance the shopping experience and make it more user-friendly.

Hardware Wall: A Showcase of Great Brands

Moving further into the store, we have an impressive hardware wall in the works. This section will feature some of the best brands in the industry, showcasing their latest products. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect:

• Ping
• Srixon
• Taylormade - a 3.6-meter display
• Mizuno - a 2.5-meter display
• Cobra
• Titleist - an incredible 4-meter wall, featuring the new Voki wedge selector tool
• Callaway
• Wilson

This wall will allow customers to explore a variety of options, including the latest technology in golf equipment. The Vokey wedge selector tool is particularly exciting, as it helps golfers find the perfect specifications for their needs and with its unique setup we are extremely proud to be the first store globally to offer this in store experience.

A Dedicated Junior Section

In addition to our main hardware wall, we’re also creating a dedicated junior section. This area will feature products specifically designed for younger golfers, including the new Mizuno product line and Ping Prodigy products. It’s essential to encourage the next generation of golfers, and this section aims to do just that.

The Interactive Motocaddy Wall

One of the standout features of the store will be our new 4-meter interactive motor caddy wall. This display will feature:

• Electric trolleys
• Soft goods
• Bags
• Motocaddy accessories

This fully interactive wall will include a light box TV that explains the functionality of the trolleys, showcasing what they can do. This innovative approach will help customers make informed choices about their purchases.

Expansive Shoe Area

Next, we have an exciting new shoe area that spans 6 meters. This self-service space will be supported by top brands such as Under Armour, Adidas, Ecco and FootJoy. The layout will feature:

• Freestanding shoe displays
• A selection of second-hand shoes

This area is designed to be a one-stop-shop for all your golfing footwear needs, making it easier for customers to find the perfect pair.

Bag Section: A Wide Selection

Behind the shoe area, we’re setting up our bag section. Customers can expect to find around 150 to 200 bags in stock at any one time. This extensive selection will cater to all preferences, ensuring that everyone can find the right bag for their golfing needs.

In-store Putting Green

One of the most exciting additions to the store is our new 4x8 meter in-store putting green. This area will not only allow customers to practice their putting skills but also features a fitting area to find the perfect putter with the use of SAM Putt Lab. It’s a fantastic way to engage customers and enhance their experience in the store.

The Clothing Area: Stylish Options for Everyone

Moving on to the clothing area, we have dedicated sections for both men and women. The ladies’ wall will be supported by Puma amongst others, showcasing a range of stylish clothing options. Additionally, we’ll have:

• Gondolas featuring ladies’ clothing
• Men’s clothing walls supported by Under Armour, J.Lindeberg, Adidas, and G/Fore
• Gondolas featuring Hugo Boss and much more.

This layout will provide a comprehensive selection of fashionable golf attire for all customers, making it easy to find the perfect outfit.

The Golf Pride Wall: A New Dimension

Another exciting feature of the renovation is the new Golf Pride wall. This area will focus on regripping and club repairs, with a dedicated repair room being set up by the end of the day. The Golf Pride wall is set to be a standout feature, with:

• A fully lit light box
• TV displays showcasing all their grips

It’s going to be the best choice of grips in the area, ensuring that customers have access to the latest and greatest in golf equipment.

BOOK A FREE FITTING

Studio Enhancements: Fitting Bays and More

As we transition to the studio area, we’ve made some significant changes. The old walls and windows have been removed, making way for two new fitting bays. This space will be equipped with:

• Two Trackman bays
• A full lineup of products from leading brands
• Brand new light boxes

Customers can expect a top-notch fitting experience, ensuring they receive the best equipment suited to their game. Additionally, we have some exciting new products lined up for 2025, which we can’t wait to share.

Final Thoughts on the Renovation

As we wrap up this update, it’s clear that the team has been working tirelessly to bring this vision to life. In less than 2 weeks, we’ve made incredible strides in transforming the AFGolfStore into a premier destination for golfers. With a focus on customer experience, quality products, and a welcoming atmosphere, we can’t wait to welcome everyone in.
