Academy professional, James Watts, has been a member of the coaching team at Kingsway Golf Centre since 2017 after starting his PGA teaching qualification. James spent 7 years competing on a number of tours around Europe after a successful amateur and junior career, recording multi wins at national and county levels before being selected to represent England. After turning professional in 2010 off an handicap of +4, James played on the Europro Tour for a number of years before breaking into the winner circle in 2014 and picking up a winners cheque of £10,000 and securing him on the European Tour’s feeder tour. James spent 3 years competing against the up and coming pro such as Brooks Koepka and Brandan Stone and gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience on how to maximise your potential on the golf course.
As well as being part of the one to one coaching team James is using his experience In tournament situations with the Total Junior Academy members to guide the next generation of talent in the game.
James’ coaching philosophy is based around giving his students the tools required to reach their potential, whether that be technical work on all areas of their game, course management understanding, statistical analysis or guidance on the mental approach of performance.
