Tiger Woods is back for the Hero World Challenge as the event returns this week to Albany, Bahamas, from November 30 to December 3.
The tournament will feature a field of 20 of the world’s top golfers, including Woods himself, last year’s winner, Viktor Hoveland as well as Scottie Scheffler and Justin Thomas.
Tiger is making yet another comeback following continuous injury spells that have kept him from playing.
The most recent of which was a reoccurring plantar fasciitis issue which lead to further procedures and rehab.
The never-say-die attitude of arguably the greatest golfer to play the game is what will keep doubters from ruling out any further victories. He already proved he still has what it takes to win at the 2019 Masters.
Can he do it again?
The 5 time Hero World Challenge champion has hosted the event since 2000 and will be looking to use this event as a springboard for the 2024 season, claiming he hopes to play one event per month should health allow him to.
Much of the talk, aside from his return has been around his equipment.
It’s been no secret that Taylormade have a new driver coming soon, with Rory Mcilroy putting it in the bag at the finale event for the Race To Dubai in November.
Tiger and his fellow Team Taylormade players will be seen using the new look driver. Tiger also gaming the new Graphite Design VF (Victory Force) shaft.
Tiger, renowned for this iron and approach play will be hoping to see the fairways if he’s going to compete at the highest level.
Taylormade’s new driver will be hoping to achieve that goal.
Brand new for the 2024 season is the Graphite Design Tour AD VF, standing for Victory Force. These eye-catching, jet black and red wood shafts, designed in Japan are completed with a glossy clear coat. The Tour AD VF shaft offers firmness in the butt section, with a stiff+ in the center, for a low/mid launch and low spin.
