Odyssey Debuts New Ai One Cruiser Putter Line

Odyssey has unveiled an exciting new line of putters called the Ai One Cruiser series. These putters leverage artificial intelligence and advanced engineering to provide golfers with more consistent speed and accuracy on the greens.

The Models

The Ai One Cruiser line features three different models – the #7 Cruiser, Double Wide Cruiser, and Jailbird Cruiser.

All three putters have a 380 gram head and 38 inch shaft intended to be choked up on. This face balanced design creates exceptional stability throughout the stroke.

The Technology

The key technology powering the Ai One Cruiser putters is the innovative Ai-ONE insert. This insert uses an aluminium backer co-moulded with Odyssey’s renowned White Hot urethane face to promote consistent ball speed even on mishits. The putters also utilise a Panlite polymer window that displays the unique contours on the back of the insert.

In addition to the high tech insert, the Ai One Cruiser putters come equipped with heavier steel shafts to match the heavier head weights. Removable front weights ranging from 5 to 20 grams allow golfers to customize the feel and balance of the putter head.

The new Odyssey Ai One Cruiser putters feature a sleek navy blue PVD finish that gives them a premium, high-end aesthetic. Three different models are offered to accommodate different putting styles – the classic #7 shape, wider Double Wide blade, and popular Jailbird shape. An Arm Lock model and extra-long Broomstick version are also available.

Taylormade Spider Tour Putters

The long loved putter has been upgraded and it is BACK. The Taylormade Spider Tour Putters are here with 4 heads in the range.

The models include the Spider Tour which has been a much loved classic over the years, used by players such as Dustin Johnson and Jason Day. The Spider Tour V and Tour Z are new models with the Tour X being reintroduced and inspired by Rory Mcilroy.

The features include:

Thin Wall Undercut Construction that offers a super stable structure with high MOI and the classic spider performance.
Steel Wireframe controls improved weight distribution and CG locations.
Hybrar Echo Dampener is behind the face to take away any vibrations on impact offering great sound and feel.
The CG location in each Spider model is different for optimal fitting options.
TSS Weighting balances the weight of the putter in different lengths.
The finish is fantastic with gunmetal PVD coating.
True Path Alignment is the patented system which provides a great visual in helping golfers in alignment.
The Pure Roll insert offers a great, soft feel. The grooves are angled at 45º to encourage optimal forward roll as well as better sound, feel and overall roll.
The Spider Tour Series comes with two different hosel shapes and designs with the small slant offering more toe hang and the double bend increasing face balance.

The putter is finished off beautifully with the KBS CT Putter Black PVD Stepless shaft and Super Stroke Pistol GT1.0 White grip.

Offering an advanced premium look and feel to its predecessor the new collection of putters offers 3 blade and 3 mallet styles with a range of neck types to suit your stroke. L Neck, Slant Neck, Single Bend Neck and Flow Neck.

The SAM PuttLab is a motion analysis system that tracks the kinematics of the putting stroke. Newport: The Newport model’s distinctive rounded features are enhanced with a unique sight line milled on the topline. Precision milled from 303 stainless steel with a misted Tour Black finish, and adjustable performance balanced raw tungsten sole weights.

Newport 2: Designed with the proven shape, plumbing neck and tri-sole of a modern Newport 2, the Special Select Jet Set Newport 2 is milled from 303 stainless steel with customisable tungsten sole weights. A limited number of left-handed models were also created.

Newport Plus: Crafted slightly wider when measured from face to flange, the Newport Plus offers a new size in high- performance blade putter design. Scotty accommodated the fuller profile by distributing weight to the perimeter and incorporating a 6061 aircraft grade aluminium sole plate, anodised black and engraved with the line’s Jet Set graphics.

Newport 2 Plus: Splitting the difference in flange width between a Special Select Newport 2 and Squareback 2, the Special Select Jet Set Newport 2 Plus offers a Tour-inspired shape that introduces the next profile in high-performance blade design.

Scotty Cameron Phantom X Has Evolved

The Scotty Cameron Phantom X has evolved with a new launch of putters this season, but what is different in the latest edition of putters from Titleist.

10 new putters have and will continue to be released between April and June, upgrading previous models as well as introducing new looks with fresh performance benefits, from new head shapes, grip designs as well and graphic upgrades, the fresh look is certainly a putter to be admired.

As we write this blog we have already seen half of the putters join our stores. They look incredible and combined with the classic Scotty Cameron feel we are certain these putters are going to be big performers this season. With the introduction of new models, there is an option for all players. From different neck types, offering a different toe hang option to a variety of head sizes with increased MOI.

WHAT DOES SCOTTY CAMERON SAY?

2022 PHANTOM X TECHNOLOGY

Each new 2022 Phantom X putter is an integration of steel and aluminium, with nine of the 10 models engineered specifically with a solid, precision-milled 303 stainless steel face and body that’s expertly fused with a 6061 aircraft grade aluminium sole and flange component. The new Phantom X 12 employs an aluminium face/sole with stainless steel wings for maximum MOI, while its slimmed down flange section and extended alignment create a longer-looking, easier-to-aim update to the prior model.

SOLID STAINLESS STEEL FACE/BODY CONSTRUCTION

Precision milled in the United States from a block of solid 303 stainless steel, the new Phantom X 5, 5.5, 5s, 7, 7.5, 9, 9.5, 11 and 11.5 models were designed with a solid stainless steel face that is carried through to the body/wings and integrated with an aluminium sole/flange component for performance and playability with consistent sound and soft feel.

PRECISION MILLED, TOUR-INSPIRED SHAPES

Designed with feedback from touring professionals – and validated with multiple victories around the world in 2021 – the new 2022 Phantom X mallets further express player preferences with features like precision milled solid stainless steel faces, sleek putter head profiles, refined alignment cues, high durability finishes, and specific shaft and neck configurations.

SHAFT/NECK CONFIGURATIONS

The refreshed Phantom X 11.5 will continue to feature a low-bend stepless steel shaft installed over a milled topline spud, while the updated Phantom X 7.5 and all-new Phantom X 9.5 will employ small slant/jet necks like the recently revamped Phantom X 5.5. The Phantom X 5, 7, 9, 11 and 12 models each have a stepless steel shaft engineered to minimise face rotation with a single mid-bend aimed directly down the target line. The summer-release Phantom X 5s has a straight step-less steel shaft installed near the centre point of the top-line with zero offset.
