Ping S159 Wedge: A New Exciting Product for Golfers

Today, we’re excited to talk about the new Ping S159 wedge. As a golf enthusiast, I was immediately drawn to the clean and sleek design of this product. It comes in two attractive finishes – a chrome finish and a darker black finish, appealing to different preferences. In this blog, we’ll delve into the features and options of the Ping S159 wedge that make it a great choice for golfers of all levels.

Impressive Design and Construction

The Ping S159 wedge features a carbon steel construction, which provides a solid and durable feel. What sets this wedge apart is its unique groove patterns, tailored to different loft angles. For lofts ranging from 52° to 48°, the wider groove pattern allows for firm shots with increased spin. As we move up to the sand wedge lofts and towards the 60° angle, the groove pattern becomes closer together. This design allows for softer swings and enhanced friction, resulting in more spin and stopping power.

Customisation Options

Ping understands the importance of custom fitting, and they have taken it to the next level with the Ping S159 wedge. There are an impressive 25 different loft and bounce grind combinations available, along with two new sole designs – H and B. The wedge we have here is the H design, featuring a crescent shape that allows for easy manipulation and face opening. With 8° of bounce, it’s particularly suited for golfers who have a shallow impact into the golf ball.

The Dot System and Grip

Continuing their emphasis on custom fitting, Ping has incorporated their dot system into the Ping S159 wedge. This feature allows golfers to match the wedge’s lie angle to their iron set for consistent performance. The shaft included with the wedge is the Nippon Zealous 115 G shaft, which is a standard option and provides a solid and reliable feel. The grip on the Ping S159 wedge is unique in its slightly longer length compared to most grips. This design caters to golfers who enjoy playing mid-flighted shots at half speed. The grip features indicators that allow golfers to grip down slightly, making it easier to execute 3/4 shoulder-to-shoulder swings and achieve the desired yardage.

Who is the Ping S159 Wedge For?

The Ping S159 wedge is truly a versatile option that can suit any golfer. Whether you already play with Ping irons or have different brand preferences, this wedge is worth considering. With its wide range of options in terms of bounce, grind, and loft, there is a perfect fit for every golfer’s playing style. Ping has truly raised the bar with this wedge, and its competitive pricing makes it even more appealing.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, the Ping S159 wedge has quickly gained popularity on tour and in fittings. Its impressive design, customisation options, and competitive pricing make it an excellent choice for golfers looking to enhance their short game. If you’re curious about how the Ping S159 wedge can improve your game, we invite you to visit AF Golf Store and try it out for yourself. Ping G730: A Review of the New Golf Iron for Maximum Distance

Today, we’re excited to dive into another new product release – the Ping G730. This iron is designed to provide maximum distance and height, making it perfect for golfers who want to boost their power and confidence on the course.

In this blog, we’ll take a closer look at the features and performance of the G730, as well as its suitability for different types of golfers.

Design and Technology

The Ping G730 is an impressive piece of golf equipment with its chunky, powerful design. It features a thick top line and a big bottom end, giving it a solid and confident appearance at address. The low center of gravity and strong lofts, such as the 28-degree loft of the 7-iron, contribute to its exceptional distance capabilities. Additionally, the iron incorporates flex faces and other advanced technologies to ensure optimal performance.

Performance on the Course

For golfers with slower swing speeds, the G730 is a game-changer. It effortlessly launches the ball high into the air, resulting in impressive distances. The low center of gravity allows the ball to pop up and carry further, compensating for the strong lofts. This iron is especially suitable for players who prioritise distance and want a club that inspires confidence. With its wide range of shaft options, including lightweight graphite, the G730 caters to a variety of swing speeds and player profiles.

Testing and Feedback

During our testing, we experienced the true power and potential of the G730. It felt hot off the face, but with swing speeds around 90 miles per hour, the iron produced unfavourable results for Alan, but that’s more due to the swing speed and spin! It’s important to note that the spin rates may not provide accurate feedback for higher swing speeds, such as the 95mph we saw. The G730 is specifically designed for golfers with slower swing speeds who desire additional distance and forgiveness.

Pros and Cons

Let’s take a closer look at the key aspects of the Ping G730: Look: The G730 has a chunky design, which may not appeal to everyone. While it may not be the sexiest iron on the market, it does offer great rack appeal and looks impressive in your golf bag. Feel: Like all Ping irons, the G730 feels solid and provides a satisfying impact at ball contact. It offers a sense of confidence and reliability, which is crucial for golfers seeking maximum distance. Custom Options: Ping is known for its extensive range of custom options, and the G730 is no exception. With various shaft options, power specs, and loft adjustments, golfers can tailor this iron to suit their individual needs. Price: The G730 falls into the higher price range, but it delivers performance and quality that can justify its cost. However, golfers should consider their specific requirements and compare it to other options in the market.

Conclusion

In summary, the Ping G730 is an good choice for golfers looking to maximise their distance and confidence. Its powerful design, advanced technology, and impressive performance make it a a worth while try for players with slower swing speeds. While it may not be the right fit for everyone, those seeking higher launches and longer carries should definitely consider giving the G730 a try. Remember to visit our channel for more in-depth information on the G730’s technology and custom options provided by our knowledgeable experts, Matt and Lewis as they dive into the technology behind clubs and shafts alike.

The Latest Ping Drivers: G430 Max vs G430 10K Max

A Closer Look at Ping Drivers For 2024

Welcome to another Tech Talk, where we dive into the latest golf equipment. In today’s blog, we’ll be exploring the newest additions= to the Ping driver lineup as well as a current performer – the G430 Max and G430 10K Max. By the end of this blog, you’ll have a clear understanding of the differences between the two.

The Max Head in the G430

Let’s begin with the G430, featuring some of the well-established design elements that Ping has been using for quite some time. One notable feature is the turbulators, which are designed to create the most aerodynamically efficient shape possible as the club moves through the air towards the golf ball.

Additionally, Ping has incorporated forged face technology, resulting in a great feel upon impact. The face is exceptionally thin, allowing for increased ball speed while also enabling weight redistribution towards the back of the head. This redistribution of weight makes the driver more forgiving, a characteristic for which Ping drivers are known.

The Latest Models: Increased Speed and Stability

Ping has always excelled in creating forgiving drivers, but with their latest models, they have taken it a step further. By shifting the weight forward, they have managed to enhance ball speed.

Simultaneously, moving the weight rearward has significantly increased stability throughout the swing. Another notable feature of the G430 is the inclusion of adjustable weights. These weights allow golfers to fine-tune their ball flight by choosing between a neutral, draw, or fade setting. While adjusting the weights won’t magically transform a slicer into a drawer, it can certainly help stabilise the flight or improve alignment if you tend to strike the ball towards the toe.

The 10K Model: A Slightly Different Design

Now let’s shift our focus to the NEW G430 10K Max. The driver known for breaking the 10,000 MOI barrier, giving the most stable forgiving driver in Ping’s arsenal.

At first glance, you may notice that the weight in this model is fixed, unlike the adjustable weights in the G430. However, upon closer inspection or during a test run, you’ll observe that the 10K model has a slightly stretched back head. It resembles a head that has been slightly flattened and deepened. This design choice is aimed at pushing the weight back as much as possible, resulting in increased Moment of Inertia (MOI). Additionally, Ping has added a carbon wrap on the top of the head to save weight in the middle and redistribute it rearward towards the larger weight, further enhancing stability.

Similar Looks, Feel, and Sound

Between the G430 Max and G430 10K Max, the two drivers share many similarities. They have a similar look, feel, and sound.

Ping has made a conscious effort to ensure that the G430 model produces a softer and quieter sound compared to previous generations, which were sometimes perceived as loud in comparison to other products on the market.

Which Driver Will Be Most Popular?

While personal preference plays a significant role in choosing a driver, the G430 Max is expected to be the more popular option. Its slightly smaller profile and adjustable weight feature seem to appeal to a wider range of golfers in terms of both aesthetics and performance. However, this should not discount the G430 10K Max, as it offers excellent forgiveness for off-centre shots. In fittings, it has already proven to be a big hit, with many satisfied customers. Ultimately, the most important thing is to try out the G430 Max models for yourself.

The Importance of Shaft Selection

One crucial aspect of selecting a driver is choosing the right shaft. Ping offers a variety of fantastic shaft options to complement their drivers. These include the standard ALTA CB shaft, popular Tour Shafts, and Mitsubishi, Project X shafts, all equipped with the same adjustment systems. These adjustments allow for customisation in loft, angle, and other settings, helping golfers achieve their desired ball flight and optimise their performance.

Conclusion: Finding the Perfect Fit

We hope this blog has provided you with valuable insights into the differences between the G430 Max and G430 10K Max drivers. While we personally have a preference for the G430 Max due to its slightly smaller shape, it’s essential to note that individual preferences may vary. The best way to determine which driver is ideal for you is to schedule a fitting and try out any of the four models we haven’t explored in this blog. Our team at AF Golf Store Cambridge is here to assist you in finding the perfect driver that matches your needs and enhances your performance on the golf course.

The Ping i530 Iron: A Premium Iron for Distance and Feel

Ping, known for their high-quality golf products, has released a new iron that is making waves in the golfing community. The Ping i530 Iron is a forged head iron with a compact design and exceptional distance capabilities.

In this blog, we will explore the features and benefits of the Ping i530, who it is designed for, and its performance on the golf course.

It has arrived at AFGolfStore and ready for you to try in a FREE custom fitting.

Design and Features

The Ping i530 Iron is designed for golfers who desire the look and feel of a compact, blade-like iron, combined with impressive distance.

Its smaller head size, thin top line, and tight design create a sleek and confidence-inspiring appearance at address. The i530 Iron features a strengthened iron loft, with the seven iron sitting at 29°. This increased loft allows for stronger ball flights and added distance.

Additionally, the Ping i530 Iron offers various shaft options, giving golfers the ability to customise their club to suit their swing preferences.

Performance

When put to the test on a launch monitor, the Ping i530 Iron demonstrated its ability to launch the ball high and provide maximum distance. However, it is important to note that the i530 Iron may not be suited for every golfer. It has a lower center of gravity (CG), which can cause the ball to spin too much for players with slower swing speeds. Golfers with higher swing speeds, looking for a higher ball flight and increased distance, will find the i530 Iron to be an excellent option.

Comparison to Other Irons

In terms of its design and performance, the Ping i530 Iron can be compared to other irons in the market. It shares similarities with the ZX4 and P790 irons, with a slightly thicker top line that inspires confidence. However, the i530 Iron stands out with its forged look and feel, making it an attractive option for golfers seeking a premium iron. While it may not be the ideal choice for every player, those who value a sleek design, exceptional feel, and impressive distance will find the i530 Iron to be a worthy contender.

Final Thoughts

The Ping i530 Iron is a premium iron that offers golfers a combination of distance and feel. With its compact design, forged head, and strong loft, the i530 Iron stands apart from its competitors. While it may not be suitable for all golfers, those who prioritise a smaller head size and desire a sleek, premium iron will find the i530 Iron to be an excellent choice. With the ability to customise the shaft and loft options, golfers can truly make this iron their own. Whether you’re a golfer looking to upgrade your current iron or someone searching for a club that delivers both power and precision, the Ping i530 Iron is certainly one to consider. The New Ping Blueprint S Range for 2024: A Game-Changer in Golf Irons

The Ping Blueprint S: A Forged Iron Designed for Precision

Ping has recently launched its highly anticipated blueprint range for 2024, and one of the standout products is the Ping Blueprint S. This forged iron is the result of Ping’s collaboration with tour players, who provided valuable insights on what they need from a forged iron. The result is a club that offers exceptional performance and forgiveness, making it a top choice for golfers of all skill levels.

Unmatched Design and Flexibility

One of the key features of the Ping Blueprint S is its compact head and thin top line. This sleek design not only exudes elegance but also enhances the golfer’s ability to control their shots. Additionally, the Blueprint S offers a great deal of flexibility in terms of loft options.

Starting at a standard loft of 33 degrees, it can be easily blended with the bladed-head Ping Blueprint T and the cavity-back Ping I 230s, providing golfers with versatility in their iron selection.

Maximum Forgiveness for Long Irons

Long irons, such as the 3, 4, and 5 iron, are notoriously difficult to hit consistently. However, Ping has addressed this challenge by incorporating a weight redistribution feature in the Blueprint S. By creating a pocket at the back of these longer irons, Ping has effectively increased forgiveness without compromising the overall appearance of the club. This means golfers can enjoy the benefits of a forged iron while still having confidence in their long iron shots.

Unparalleled Feel and Control

When it comes to feel and control, the Ping Blueprint S truly excels. Golfers will immediately notice the buttery soft feel off the face, thanks to the precision forging process used in its construction. This unique feel allows for enhanced shot-making capabilities, giving golfers the confidence they need to execute their desired shots.

Whether it’s a crisp iron shot into the green or a controlled punch shot, the Ping Blueprint S delivers the exceptional feel and control that golfers crave.

Aesthetically Pleasing Design

The Ping Blueprint S not only performs exceptionally well but also looks stunning. It features a hybropearl chrome finish on the back, adding a touch of elegance to its overall appearance. The compact head and thin top line contribute to its sleek and stylish look. Despite its smaller head size, the Blueprint S still retains the unmistakable Ping aesthetics that golfers have come to know and love.

Customisation Options for the Discerning Golfer

Ping has always been known for its extensive customisation options, and the Blueprint S is no exception. Golfers can take advantage of Ping’s fitting capabilities to fine-tune their clubs to suit their individual preferences. Additionally, the Blueprint S offers the ability to adjust swing weight with the inclusion of a tungsten screw in the toe of the club. This feature allows for precise customisation, ensuring that golfers can optimise their performance on the course.

Pricing Considerations

While the Ping Blueprint S offers unparalleled performance and customisation options, it is worth noting that it falls into the higher price range for forged irons. With a projected price tag of over £190 per club, it may not be the most budget-friendly option. However, for golfers who prioritise exceptional feel, control, and precision, the Blueprint S is undoubtedly worth the investment.

Final Thoughts: A Game-Changing Golf Iron

The Ping Blueprint S is a game-changer in the world of golf irons. Its exceptional performance, unmatched feel, and stunning design make it a top choice for golfers looking to elevate their game. While the higher price point may deter some, the Blueprint S offers a level of customisation and precision that is truly hard to match. Whether you’re a professional golfer or a recreational player, the Ping Blueprint S is a club that deserves serious consideration.

Ping S159 Wedge Review

Today, we’re excited to take a look at the new Ping S159 wedge. This wedge is a game-changer, replacing the Glide 4 and Glide Pro models.

With its sleek design and impressive features, the S159 is sure to attract the attention of golfers everywhere.

New Features and Design

The Ping S159 wedge comes in two stunning finishes: the HydroPearl Chrome and the Midnight finish. Whether you prefer a classic chrome look or a more modern black finish, Ping has you covered. But the design isn’t the only thing that sets this wedge apart.

Now here’s where it gets fun – the S159 line comes in six different sole grinds! From the versatile mid-bounce S and T options, to the forgiveness-focused W grind, to the brand new half-moon H grind and shallow-bounce B grind. In total, there are 25 loft/grind combinations available.

The two new PING Wrx grinds look really interesting. The H grind helps golfers with steeper attacks manipulate the face through softer conditions. And the B grind sits low to the turf for maximum versatility and performance from tight lies and firmer turf.

This gives you the freedom to customise your wedge to match your playing style, the course conditions, and your personal preferences.

The Perfect Match

One of the most impressive aspects of the S159 wedge is its compatibility with Ping’s T and S irons. The hosel shape and design of the wedge have been carefully crafted to seamlessly blend in with these player-friendly irons. This cohesion between the wedges and irons ensures a consistent and unified look throughout your set. Ping has truly created a family of products that complement each other perfectly.

Custom Fitting Options

As with all Ping clubs, the custom fit options for the S159 wedge are exceptional. You can easily adjust the loft, lie angle, and even the color dots to match your set. Ping understands the importance of custom fitting, and they have made it easy for golfers to find the perfect combination for their game. No matter your skill level or playing style, Ping has you covered.

Performance and Feel

When it comes to performance, the Ping S159 wedge does not disappoint. The feel of the wedge is excellent, striking the perfect balance between a soft touch and a solid click at impact. The S grind, with its straight edge, offers a versatile option for golfers who prefer a square face position. The wedges also feature precision-milled grooves, which enhance spin control and allow you to have more control around the greens.

A Competitor in the Wedge Market

The Ping S159 wedge is set to compete with other top wedge models on the market, such as the TaylorMade MG4 and the Titleist Vokey SM10. With its impressive design, custom fitting options, and exceptional performance, the S159 is a worthy contender. Golfers looking for a high-quality wedge that offers versatility and playability should definitely consider the Ping S159.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, the Ping S159 wedge is a game-changer in the world of wedges. Its sleek design, wide range of loft and grind combinations, and compatibility with Ping’s T and S irons make it a standout choice for golfers of all skill levels.

The custom fitting options, along with the excellent feel and performance, further solidify the S159 as a top-tier wedge. While the price may be on the higher end, the quality and performance of the S159 justify the investment. So, if you’re in the market for a new wedge, give the Ping S159 a try. We’re confident that you won’t be disappointed!

Introducing the Ping Blueprint T Iron: A Review

The Ping Blueprint T Iron: A Closer Look

Ping Golf has recently introduced their latest addition to the iron family – the Ping Blueprint T Iron. While Ping is known for their innovative designs and high-quality golf equipment, the Blueprint T Iron is a unique offering from the brand, catering to a niche market of golfers who value precision and control over distance.

At first glance, the Blueprint T Iron stands out with its sleek and minimalistic design. The club features a narrow sole and a small head, making it compact and visually appealing. The fully forged head and milled face add to the overall aesthetics and provide a clean and polished look.

One of the standout features of the Blueprint T Iron is its focus on height and trajectory. Ping has designed this iron to help golfers achieve optimal peak height and soft landings on the green. The ball speeds off the face are faster compared to previous models, ensuring a consistent and controlled flight.

A Club Designed for the Pure Ball Striker

The Ping Blueprint T Iron is not for the faint of heart. It requires a skilled ball striker who can consistently find the sweet spot on the smaller club face. This iron is tailored for players who prioritise accuracy and precision over distance. It is ideal for golfers who have a high swing speed and want to fine-tune their trajectory control.

During our testing, we found that the Blueprint T Iron delivers exceptional feel when struck correctly. The mishits, however, lack forgiveness, highlighting the need for a consistent swing and precise ball striking. This iron rewards players who can consistently find the centre of the face with a consistent and controlled ball flight.

The Ping Blueprint T Iron: Customisation Options

Ping has excelled in providing customisation options for their clubs, and the Blueprint T Iron is no exception. The brand understands the importance of a proper fitting, especially for a club of this nature. The Blueprint T Iron is available with a range of shaft options, allowing golfers to find the perfect combination for their swing.

Additionally, Ping’s new cog system provides golfers with even more flexibility and customization possibilities. This system allows for easy adjustments to loft and lie angles, ensuring that each golfer can fine-tune their club to their specific needs and preferences.

The Ping Blueprint T Iron: Pricing and Conclusion

As with any high-quality golf equipment, the Ping Blueprint T Iron does come with a higher price tag. However, when compared to similar offerings from other brands in this category, the price aligns appropriately. Golfers who are in the market for a forged, bladed iron should consider the Blueprint T Iron along with other options such as the Mizuno 241 and the Srixon Z Forged.

In conclusion, the Ping Blueprint T Iron is a visually stunning and meticulously designed club. It caters to a specific type of golfer – one who values precision, control, and consistency over distance. While it may not be suitable for every player, those who appreciate the art of ball striking and seek a traditional iron design will find the Blueprint T Iron to be a worthy addition to their bag.

So, if you’re in the market for a new set of irons and the Ping Blueprint T Iron matches your style, make sure to give it a try during your next fitting session. It may just be the perfect club to enhance your feel and trajectory on the golf course.

The Most Wanted Club Of 2024? The Ping ChipR

Have you ever found yourself in a position around the green where you’ve struggled to get the ball over that little bit of rough and onto the green? If so, you’re not alone. Many golfers have faced challenges when it comes to those tricky shots from about five or six yards. Double hits, duffs, and chips can be a nightmare for some. But fear not, because we might have a solution for you! Introducing the Ping ChipR Le.

This is potentially going to be the most popular iron for 2024, and here’s the best part: this is the ladies version! The Ping ChipR Le Ladies is an unbelievable product designed specifically to address those struggles around the green.

With its lightweight design and graphite shaft, this club has the potential to transform your game if you find yourself struggling in this area.

The standard ChipR came out in the last couple of seasons and was incredibly popular, so it’s great to see a ladies specific version now!

Before we dig into the Ping ChipR, let’s quickly discuss the advantages of using a chipper over a traditional iron or wedge.

Personally, I have never been a fan of chippers, but I understand their appeal. If you struggle with chipping or tend to duff your shots around the green, a chipper might be the solution you’ve been looking for.

What sets a chipper apart is its design. You’ll notice that the shaft of a chipper is more vertical, similar to a putter. This setup allows you to get closer to the ball and make a simpler, more controlled swing. Using a chipper can boost your confidence and help you enjoy your golfing experience, especially if you typically find yourself frustrated by the rough.

Ping’s Approach: Helping Lady Golfers Enjoy the Game

Now, let’s talk about why Ping has released this new chipper and their approach to helping lady golfers enjoy the game even more. Ping has a history of producing fantastic ladies’ golf products, and this chipper is no exception. They understand the unique challenges that lady golfers face and strive to provide them with effective solutions.

The previous version of the chipper, aimed at men, had a few drawbacks. The steel shaft was heavy, the club was too long, and the swing weights were inconsistent. This made it difficult for lady golfers to fully benefit from the club without modifications. However, Ping has addressed these issues with the new ladies’ version.

WATCH | Our Ping Product Reviews

The Ping ChipR Le Ladies now matches the Gle 3 range, offering lady golfers a great option to add to their bags.

With its improved design and specifications, this chipper is bound to be a popular choice in 2024.

Conclusion

Thank you for taking the time to read about the Ping ChipR Le and its potential impact on the golfing world. While this may not really be the most popular club of 2024, it’s always exciting to explore new products like this cheeky chipper from Ping. At our channel, we strive to review every single club on the market this year, including the unconventional ones.

If you’re someone who struggles with chipping or duffing around the green, don’t be afraid to consider adding a chipper to your bag.

The Ping ChipR Le Ladies offers a lightweight and well-designed option that can truly make a difference in your game.

The sleek iron features a thin top line and minimal offset in a compact head shape. This appeals to the eye of the skilled golfer and inspires confidence over the ball. The forged 8620 carbon steel heads have a clean cavity back design with a forged textured pattern and stunning hydropearl chrome finish.
