The Process

Our fittings are 60-90 minutes where we will test your current equipment with Trackman4 in our state-of-the-art studio and then begin to make recommendations based on the resulting data.  Our fitting service can be for any area of the game.

Our build team consists of Lewis and David who together ensure we meet our premium build service promise of clubs fit, built and ready to deliver in just 72 hours! With component accounts with 4 major leading brands we can ensure a premium service that only a small handful of retailers can provide nationwide. 

We also love to personalise your clubs to you, whether it be a touch of paint, unique grips or premium shafts, funky ferrules or wedge stamping. Whatever you want to do, we can help deliver your vision.

Stamping The Way Forward To Better Wedge Play

Having great wedges that are custom fit to your needs in terms of loft, length, shaft, bounce, grind and grip is one thing. Being able to personalize your wedges to make them bespoke and stand out in the bag is certainly another.

Our Workshop is always looking for ways to give that extra little colour and spice to your new clubs.

The team have invested in a new stamping and paint set which means that we are able to put 4 different styles of stamping onto a new wedge, or even add to your current wedges. It will take 24 hours from design to completion and our workshop team will be on hand to guide you through the design process.

This funky new service costs £19.99 per wedge or £50 for 3 wedges, can be ordered online or in store. 

The 4 main styles that we are offering are

Straight – this can be any word in a straight line of the back of the head

Dancing – this means the letter move around at slight angles to give the illusion the words are dancing across your wedge

Two Lines – this allows to two lines of straight text, ideal for children’s names for example

Snowdrop – 2 letters for example initials, 10 times random all over the back of the wedge.

With the increased launch of new products year on year, the demand for the new clubs seems to be at an all time high and with the added features of a custom fitting, the orders for custom product continues to increase, however, the time scale to receive your new clubs, with most brands is upwards of 6 weeks! We are delighted to offer ‘store to door In 7 days’, our premium delivery service is here.

At AFGolfStore we offer 6 leading brands, each of these brands showcasing multiple models in driver, fairway, hybrid, irons, wedges and putters. Along with multiple shaft options and endless grip choice. We are serious when we say we have over 10,000 combinations to choose from. Fortunately with the use of Trackman and our expert fitting team, they will find the perfect solution for you in 60 minutes. 

Once you have made your choice and are happy to proceed, there are options. The key issue is always time! No one wants to order clubs in April and receive them in July, having played a quarter of the season without the intended clubs. That’s where our new premium delivery service will aim to get your new clubs to you extra fast!

Our premium delivery service works with select brands to offer an in store build service. Our expert building team have component relationships with:

With some fantastic models available, we are excited to work with these brands in offering a speedy service to get your clubs to you quicker!

If your custom order following our FREE fitting service Is a model based within this group of clubs, your fitter will offer this service to you. To have your clubs delivered in 7 days.

The process includes:

  1. Book and enjoy a FREE fitting at one of our local AFGolfStore venues
  2. Order your clubs
  3. If the order is not premium delivery applicable then we will order direct through the supplier and go on their lead times.
  4. If you qualify for premium delivery then we will send your specifications and order to our build centre.
  5. The build team will build your clubs to your specifications, followed by quality control.
  6. Your clubs will be sent back to your store for collection within 7 days.

Custom Fitted Putters From AFGolf Store

Here are a few things to consider before you do. If you don’t know the answers, we are here to help you understand and make the best decision for what you NEED, more so than what you may want.

Is your current style of putter the right head type?

There are tens of different head types, from mallet to blade as well as the specific designs companies apply to their putter. From the odyssey two-ball to the Scotty Cameron Newport2. Two hugely different head types, the two-ball is a mallet style putter and globally one of the most popular putters. The Newport 2 has won 14 majors with Tiger Woods alone. It is really important to ensure the style you’re choosing suits your game.

As you can see in the image, putter heads are not only different in style, but they also hang very differently when rested from your fingers.

Toe Hang: A toe facing towards the ground is known as toe hang. This style of putter will promote for club head rotation through impact, great for golfers with a strong putting arc in their stroke.

Face Balanced: A putter that lays flat as seen in the far-right picture is face balanced, this reduces face rotation and is used more with players who have less of an arc in their stroke and closer to a straighter stroke. Then you have putters in between.

So, to put this in context; you may love Tiger Woods and want to put with his famous Scotty Cameron Newport 2, however if your putting stroke doesn’t compliment this putter, you’re paying a lot of money to miss putts!

The good news is, with so many putter types available in today’s market you will be sure to find a putter that suits the eye!

How long is your putter?

Another essential area of putter fitting. Considering putting accounts for 43% of golf in the amateur game it is amazing how so many golfers will get fitted for a driver however, they will buy straight from the shelf for a putter. The right length putter will have the following benefits to your game:

  • Improved stroke and swing path
  • Improved posture and correct setup
  • Consistent strike pattern
  • Correct lie angle at setup.

Length and lie angles, grip type, putter head style, weight, consistency in stroke and strike. These are all key factors we must consider ensuring you walk away with the correct putter.
